Tools and traditions for supporting your reproductive and hormone wellness

My practice blends Eastern and Western traditions to support whole-body health. By combining Chinese Medicine with comprehensive lab analysis, a Functional Medicine lens, and cycle tracking, we can view your health through a wider, more holistic perspective—and uncover what may have been missed before.

Supporting you with:

Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) views the body as an interconnected ecosystem, where each part influences the whole. It uses the language of nature to understand the body’s balance—terms like qi, blood, yin, yang, dampness, and stagnation describe the flow of energy and resources.

A Chinese Medicine diagnosis is rooted in deep listening and observation. Through thoughtful questions, a detailed health history, and the traditional assessment of your tongue and pulse, we understand the patterns beneath your symptoms.

Acupuncture and herbal medicine are at the heart of treatment, while moxibustion and cupping are supportive therapies when needed.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a 3,000-year-old healing practice that uses ultra-fine needles placed along the body’s “meridians” or energy pathways. Acupuncture is especially supportive for hormone health, fertility, and stress regulation. Certain points can guide blood flow to the reproductive organs and influence hormonal balance, while others support digestion, sleep, and immune function.

Chinese Herbal Therapy

Chinese Herbal Therapy

Chinese herbal medicine works hand-in-hand with acupuncture to create deeper results. The dense, nutritive nature of herbs supports cellular energy, healthy DNA, and reduces inflammation. Herbs can be incredibly helpful for period or pelvic pain, endometriosis, anemia, and supporting egg and sperm quality. Rather than using single herbs, formulas are carefully crafted blends designed to address your unique pattern and needs.

Cupping

Cupping

Cupping uses suction with special cups to relax muscles and promote circulation. It supports blood and lymph flow, aids detoxification, and enhances overall wellness. Often used for stress relief, pain, immune support, or after an IVF cycle to detox, cupping is most commonly applied along the back and shoulders.

Moxa

Moxa

Moxibustion, or “moxa,” uses the gentle heat of burning mugwort over specific acupuncture points. The warmth is soothing and relaxing, helping to build blood and qi, reduce uterine bleeding, and can even assist with turning breech babies.

Functional Medicine

Functional Medicine combines deep western scientific knowledge with a systems-based approach, seeing the body as interconnected and seeking to uncover the root cause of a health concern. Like Chinese Medicine, the first step is a thorough health history. While careful questioning often points us toward the best next steps, advanced testing can bring the bigger picture into sharper focus. When appropriate, I use the DUTCH hormone test, the GI-MAP stool test, and Evvy, a vaginal microbiome test.

We also apply core Functional Medicine principles—supporting liver detox, gut health, and blood sugar balance—to complement Chinese Medicine and enhance overall treatment outcomes. Treatment may include targeted supplements, nutrition counseling, and lifestyle guidance.

DUTCH Hormone Test

DUTCH Hormone Test

This at-home urine test shows how your body is processing estrogen, how testosterone and cortisol are behaving, and how well your liver is working in phase 1 and 2 of hormone detoxification. It’s especially helpful in guiding care for people with endometriosis, PMS, PCOS, or hormone-sensitive symptoms.

GI Map Stool Test

GI Map Stool TSest

This at-home comprehensive microbiome test identifies the good and bad bugs in your gut, helps us address chronic digestive issues, and supports hormone balance by ensuring that phase 3 of hormone detox—elimination—is working well.

Evvy Vaginal Microbiome Test

Evvy Vaginal Microbiome Test

This at-home vaginal swab examines the balance of protective and disruptive microbes in the vaginal microbiome—something a conventional swab at the doctor’s office does not assess. It can uncover hidden imbalances that affect stubborn recurrent infection, natural conception and IVF outcomes and and can be particularly useful for those who have experienced miscarriage or implantation challenges. Evvy is the only test of it’s kind to include a Fertility Insights section which looks at biomarkers important for reproductive health.

Nutrition Counseling

Nutrition Counseling

Food is medicine, and in your treatment plan we’ll focus on the foundations of healthy eating to support hormone balance, overall wellness, and a positive relationship with your body. Essential elements include blood sugar balance and a diet rich in epi-nutrients that nourish the body at a cellular level (think eggs, sperm, hormones!). Recommendations are personalized and guided by your comprehensive lab results and health history to support your health goals.

Cycle Tracking

Knowing where you are in your menstrual cycle is helpful not only when trying to have a baby, but also when you’re feeling off and suspect your hormones may be involved. Inexpensive methods like charting your basal body temperature, noting cervical mucus changes and using a tracking cycle app are great places to start. When needed, we can move to more advanced tools, such as the Mira Monitor, which is especially useful for those with ovaries but no uterus or anyone with unique hormone patterns that aren’t captured by basic tracking methods. I’ll help make sense of the details so you feel confident and connected to what your body is telling you.

Comprehensive Lab Evaluation

I offer a cash-based lab panel with over 60 markers, including nutrients, metabolic health, and expanded thyroid function. These blood tests provide foundational insight no matter what brings you in—whether you’re feeling depleted, experiencing hormone imbalances, or anywhere along your reproductive journey and at any age.

Even when labs appear “normal,” looking at results through an optimal range often reveals patterns missed by standard testing. Whether tests are ordered through my clinic or your doctor, comprehenive lab evaluation is the first step before we explore more advanced testing.

Semen Analysis & Advanced Male Fertility Testing

Men matter too—and sperm health plays a crucial role in conception, implantation, and a healthy pregnancy. I offer two at-home tests that are reliable and convenient. A standard semen analysis through Fellow looks at the essentials like count, motility, and morphology. When we need to go deeper, advanced DNA fragmentation testing through Legacy examines the integrity of the genetic material inside the sperm—something a routine analysis can’t detect. Higher levels of fragmentation can affect fertilization, embryo development, and even the risk of miscarriage.
